Structure of Guide Wheel(Idler) :

Wheel body: the main body of idler in contact with the track shoes

Wheel hub/shaft sleeve: Internally installed shaft sleeve or sliding bearing

Wheel axle: fixed on the tensioning device slider

Sliding bearings/shaft sleeves: Most excavator guide wheels use sliding friction, not ball bearings

Floating oil seal: prevents sediment from entering and lubricating oil leakage

Installation seat/slider: connected to the tensioning cylinder and spring

Structural characteristics:

Overall heavy and impact resistant
Internally, it is usually a shaft sleeve with oil lubrication, not a bearing
There are blocking edges on both sides, which clamp the tracks to prevent left and right deviation

How to select a suitable track roller for your excavator/bulldozer/loader ?

When you select a idler, it should be selected according to your excavator's brand and model. 

1 The guide wheel should match excavator's tonnage

6-ton small excavator
13-16 ton medium excavator
20-24 ton mainstream excavator
Large excavator of over 30 tons
If the tonnage is incorrect, and the size and strength of guide wheel are completely incompatible.

2 The guide roller should match the track pitch (most important)

If the pitch is not correct, it cannot be directly installed and the chain is prone to falling off.
Common pitch:
Small excavator: 135mm, 154mm
20 ton class: 216mm
It must be consistent with the pitch of the track shoes.

Each excavator only need 2 pcs of Idler/guide wheel.
