The 6BTA5.9-C185 is a 5.9 litre, six cylinder in-line diesel engine with turbocharging and aftercooling, rated 185 hp (136 kW) at 2200 rpm. It is delivered as a complete drop-in assembly – not a bare long block – so the unit can be lifted into the machine, connected and started without sourcing injectors, harness, flywheel housing or mounting brackets separately. Each assembly leaves our yard together with a matched spare parts kit keyed to the engine serial number, plus a serialized bench test sheet.

Every assembly carries 12 months or 2000 running hours warranty, whichever comes first. Wear part supply is guaranteed for 5 years after delivery so a second overhaul stays on the same part numbers. Commissioning guidance, torque values and injection timing settings are supplied in English and can be walked through on video call during first start-up.

Can the engine be built to a different rating? Yes. The same platform is available at 160 hp and 210 hp settings, and a 1500 rpm generator build is kept separately.

Is the injection pump timed on arrival? Yes, the pump is fitted and timed on the bench, so only the fuel line connection and idle setting remain at site.

Can the spare parts kit be enlarged? Yes, a full overhaul kit covering liners, pistons, bearings, gaskets and valve train can be quoted together with the engine.

How do we confirm the fitment? Send the machine model, the old engine nameplate photo or the engine serial number and we will confirm the drive interface, fan position and governor type before the order is released.
